Many of my students "add" an extra word to their sentences or conjugate a verb, and then are marked wrong, even if their new sentence is grammatically correct. It would be helpful if you increased the number of acceptable responses to a passage. Or, especially for students conjugating, if there were some kind of visual cue that let students know if responses should be in the past, present, present continuous, future, etc.
