In the Reading for Evidence activity, the feedback can be inaccessible due to student reading levels being so poor. The vocabulary used for feedback needs to be simplified, so they know exactly what to work on. For example, in a sample Reading for Evidence activity, the feedback provided said something like "This is the right idea, but explain more--what does the opposition say?" For students will poor reading and vocabulary levels, this isn't helpful. A better way to phrase this would be "This is the right idea, but explain more-what do people who disagree with the "No Pass No Play" policy say about it? In other words, what does the other side think?" Put the feedback in student-friendlier language so that it is more likely to be received and implemented.
